About

Hello, I'm a multi-disciplined designer and photographer living in Greater New York with my beautiful wife and two kids. During the day I work with the amazing people at Squarespace as a Product Designer and after hours can either be found around town riding my bike or brewing some mean beer in my kitchen.

You can find me all over the internet, including here: twitter, dribbble, facebook, google+, last.fm, instagram, & lomography

Transmit 4

Transmit 4 is now available and if you've ever used an FTP client before then you probably know how it can be done wrong. Well Transmit is nothing but right. Even the updated application icon is a work of art. $34 gets you a license or if you're updating it's only $19. I really recommend picking it up... or at least just check out the website. Once again they set the bar pretty high for UI experiences.

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery

I'm a child of the 80's. Video games were pretty much a mandatory part of growing up at that time and I remember many hours being spent playing games like Zelda and Mario. So it's really exciting to have some new 8-bit games to help relive those experiences. Superbrothers' Sword & Sworcery is one that I'm most excited about. Everything about it looks so beautiful and thought out. And with the added gameplay elements of touch and the accelerometer, it's awesome to see 8-bit style games approached from a different direction. I haven't seen any planned release dates, but I hope it's soon.

Another amazing game that is in the works is Shaun Inman's Mimeoverse: Mimeo and the Kleptopus King. Really interesting concept and really amazing that he's added so many elements from the evolution of gaming.

Hat's off to these guys for paying tribute to the simpler times in gaming. Be sure to check both games out and keep an eye out for them to drop in the App Store.

Matt Taylor

Previous Next

Matt Taylor is an amazing illustrator from Brighton, England. His body of work displays an incredible unique style with very bold colors that really hit your brain pretty hard. These three are from a series entitled "Bicycles & Tattoos" that he did for the Ride Journal, and are my favorite from his portfolio... but it's a close race between all of them. Every piece of his is rather incredible. I encourage you to check out the rest of his work and to buy a few prints he has for sale.

Enjoy

New Art Piece

Haven't created any art pieces in a long time. Probably 8 years. This piece is entited "Her Smile" and it is a tribute to my lovely wife Tara. She has the most gorgeous smile this side of the Ohio river. Enjoy.
