About

Hello, I'm a multi-disciplined designer and photographer living in Greater New York with my beautiful wife and two kids. During the day I work with the amazing people at Squarespace as a Product Designer and after hours can either be found around town riding my bike or brewing some mean beer in my kitchen.

You can find me all over the internet, including here: twitter, dribbble, facebook, google+, last.fm, instagram, & lomography

McBess

One of my favorite illustrators is hands-down McBess (Matthieu Bessudo). His style is extremely reminiscent of the classic Disney cartoons of the 30's and I can't say enough great things about it. Matthieu is UK based and is also in the band The Dead Pirates. He directs and creates all the music videos for the band and has designed some amazing album artwork for them as well. Everything he's created is inspiring and I think you'll love his work so go check it out and let me know what you think.

Enjoy.

Squarespace for iPhone Updated

I love Squarespace. I've worked with their system since early 2008 and I've even had the pleasure to work with them in a freelance capacity. They are amazing people doing amazing work and you need to know about it. It's never been easier to design and publish my own website as it has been with Squarespace, and I've tried them all. Don't even get me started talking about Wordpress. Yeah, it's powerful and it has tons of plugins but that doesn't always mean a home run. You first have to understand how to use it and wordpress' organization almost makes it impossible. Cue Squarespace... What a breath of fresh air. When I started doing web design I was ok. But Squarespace made me so much better. It made the experience of building my own site fun and it drove me to want to learn more because of how easy it is to get results. If you are looking to make a website and want to do it yourself, get Squarespace. Can't tell you enough. It will make having a site doable. And that's 75% of the battle. Enough of the rant.

Now, the real reason of this post. They have drastically improved their iPhone app by streamlining it for speed and stability. Those were always the issues I had with the app. It just felt clunky. Not anymore. Feels great and works perfect. Another added feature is the ability to moderate comments and receive push notifications on new comments. Check out the Squarespace blog for more info on the update.

Bee Teeth: Daniel Christofferson

Daniel Christofferson's work is so amazing that I would have it tattooed on me in order to always be able to look at it. In fact, each of his pieces kind of have that look and feel of an amazing old school tattoo. Overall each peice just has a great blend of bold and smooth colors on top of solid concepts. Not only is his apparel great, but his mixed media art is breathtaking as well. Really love this stuff.

Now, as always, I like to plug the work of great artists and their stores, so hit up Daniel's site and store and help keep what he does possible. His art needs to dwell in your homes. Enjoy.
